WHO WE ARE
Welcome to the Matakana Coast Trail Trust
We are a group of local volunteers who are planning more trails and securing public access.
Our vision is to create a world class recreation and adventure trail connecting communities from Pūhoi in the south, spanning the Matakana Coast region to Mangawhai in the north.
A trail that offers walking, cycling, mountain biking and horse riding paths for residents, visitors and tourists.
TRAIL NETWORK
PŪHOI TO MANGAWHAI TRAIL NETWORK PROJECT
A significant trail network that links Pūhoi to Mangawhai and interconnects 3 major towns in our region
We have engaged with private landowners, Auckland Council, Auckland Transport, NZTA, Department of Conservation, the NZ Walking Access Commission and Rodney Local Board to coordinate trail development.
